The first ECCOS ran as a thematic film program from the 26th to 30th of April, 2009, in the acclaimed Open Doek Film Festival and screened about twenty Lithuanian feature films, documentaries and shorts to the public.
Multi awarded Lithuanian contemporary filmmakers Arunas Matelis and Audrius Stonys were present at the festival and gave a succesfull ECCOS master-class BEYOND THE END OF STORYTELLING. About 80 film professionals attended the master-class and its screenings. They took part in many interesting discussions during the master-class.
