Gewoon Eden / Just Eden

a documentary film about the wonders of ordinary life.

In Eden, a neighborhood near the A12 highway, hundreds of identical prefab houses were built in 1958. The residents gave their identical house an identity.
Eden is surrounded by multinationals and shopping malls, that scream how everything in life is for sale. Buying is equal to shaping your identity.
We discover how the consumption society sneaks in all of our houses and how it (unconsciously) controls our life.
We are blinded by advertisements and commercials and we seem to be distracted from what brings us real happiness.

Eden might not be paradise on earth, but its residents are each looking for their own piece of happiness.
