With the help of thousands of women, the Isala citizen-science project of the microbiology lab at the University of Antwerp is going on a journey of discovery into the vagina: what microorganisms can be found there, what are they doing there and what can we learn from them? The social relevance of this pioneering work cannot be underestimated.
Nina Landau studied Criminology and Political Science at the VUB. She started her career in 2012 as a journalist, at VRT. She wrote (political) news for deredactie.be, but soon felt the lure of the audiovisual sector. That same year she made the switch to TV. She realized numerous reports for TV, companies, and organizations before choosing to focus more on documentary production. Now she works both as a producer and a director. The Wonder Below is her third short documentary after Lon (2017) and My family is a circus (2017).
